- not only clean and treat their hair. you must also disinfect/wash/or bag anything that the effected child has touched their head on with in the last week or two.

- don't lie to your child, tell them it is disgusting or that they did anything wrong
- check the child's hair in a week to see if you have missed any nits that may reproduce again and start the process over. Repeat if you do notice some more.
